The Law of Cause and Effect, one of the foundations of the scientific method, states that for every effect, there is an intelligent cause—even if we have no idea what that cause might be. But some modern theorists dismiss this idea and propose that all order emerges out of a primal soup of chaos.
Mystics and sages the world over have also suggested that everything we experience in life has a common Source, that we are all made of the same stuff, that in essence we are all One. What’s really interesting is that Quantum Physics seems to support this notion.
These various perspectives about the cause of our reality may seem like mutually exclusive ideas, but are they really? Albert Einstein doubted that “God plays dice with the Universe”, implying that he believed that some form of intelligent design is at play here.
And so, we wonder: “What’s luck got to do with it?”
In this episode of Wake Up Calls, we will consider the concept of luck and how it shows up in our everyday lives. In particular, we’ll delve into the idea of how circumstances occur seemingly at random in our lives, only to appear later to have had some specific purpose that we may not have noticed when the events happened.
